James Mank, the 13 year old son of ExcludedUK members Jon and Donna Mank sent a direct heartbreaking plea to Piers Morgan, last weekend, that has resulted in a number of local and national press picking up the story.

Owners of a wedding photography company in Lincoln, Jon and Donna Mank have found themselves among an estimated three million others in the UK without fair and adequate financial support throughout the pandemic, having been excluded from accessing the Chancellors SEISS and JRS Schemes, through no fault of their own.

Wanting to help his parents and many others like them, James set about creating a video which was shared by mum Donna;

Speaking to LincsFM, Jon Mank explained the impact of being excluded, "It's just scandalous what this government is doing. It's a massive discrimination against us. As it prolongs it becomes more torture than anything else. It affects your mental health, your anxiety, you don't sleep, you wake up in the middle of the night."

James's pleas were picked up by ITV earlier this week and Jon bravely shared his story on This Morning - and followed up by The Mail Online.

ExcludedUK is a non profit grassroots NGO founded to provide a platform for those denied fair and adequate financial support from the Governments COVID-19 Support schemes since the pandemic began in March. With a community of over 60,000 members across all industries, age groups and regions, we estimate that three million UK tax payers have been excluded from the same support as others, which has lead to thousands of people losing their livelihoods, careers, and homes, and sadly, for some, their lives.

ExcludedUK has been fundraising to provide urgent help and support for those affected in the forms of business and career advice, debt support and 121 counselling sessions within 48 hours. Please find more information on our website www.excludeduk.org.
