ExcludedUK becomes member of NSPA

MH NSPAExcludedUK are delighted to announce that we are now members of the National Suicide Prevention Alliance.

Set up in 2013, the NSPA is an alliance of public, private, voluntary and community organisations across England, who care about suicide prevention and who are willing to take action to reduce suicide and support those affected by suicide.

Excluded UK has seen a worrying rise in mental health issues, including suicides, from members over the last few months.

In our most recent survey of over 3,000 members of the community, a worrying 71%  said that their mental health has suffered as a result of being excluded from the governments coronavirus financial support packages.  14% admitted to having 'suicidal thoughts' or have self-harmed.

ExcludedUK is committed to supporting members of the #ExcludedUK community who are facing mental health problems by offering free 121 counselling sessions, funded by donations.

ExcludedUK is a non profit grassroots NGO founded to provide a platform for those denied fair and adequate financial support from the Governments COVID-19 Support schemes since the pandemic began in March. With a community of over 60,000 members across all industries, age groups and regions, we estimate that three million UK tax payers have been excluded from the same support as others, which has lead to thousands of people losing their livelihoods, careers, and homes, and sadly, for some, their lives.
ExcludedUK has been fundraising to provide urgent help and support for those affected in the forms of business and career advice, debt support and 121 counselling sessions within 48 hours. Please find more information on our website www.excludeduk.org.
