Please encourage your MP to join this extremely important meeting on behalf of their constituents who have been excluded from Government support schemes!
All-Party Parliamentary Groups (APPGs) are informal, cross-party groups formed by MPs and Members of the House of Lords who share a common interest in a particular policy area, region or country.
While they are not official parliamentary committees these groups can sometimes be influential because of their non-partisan, bicameral approach to an issue.
Here is a suggestion of the letter you could send to them:
Dear [insert MP name here],
I am writing to you as a concerned constituent asking you to attend the inaugural meeting of the ExcludedUK All-Party Parliamentary Group set up by Jamie Stone MP on Tuesday 7th July at 10am in an online meeting.
Please contact Jamie Stone MP for details.
There are millions of people in the UK who have fallen through the cracks of the Government support schemes who have now gone over 100 days with no income and no support. The British taxpayers who have been excluded come from a wide variety of backgrounds - some have been excluded simply for changing jobs in March, making a withdrawal from their pensions or simply for being the director of a limited company among so many others.
Please represent your constituents like me by attending this cross-party meeting.
Could you confirm you will be attending to both me and Jamie Stone MP?
